THE RIDES

Can't Get Enough (2013)

Chris Layton (drums) and Kevin McCormick (bass) create an excellent rhythmic support to Stephen Stills' and Kenny Wayne Shepherd's guitar musical range and to Barry Goldberg's keyboard precise insertions.
Stills, Shepherd and Goldberg joined under the name of The Rides and they have produced a powerful album called “Can't Get Enough”.
Ten tracks filled with the rich experience of Stills (The Byrds, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Crosby, Manassas, Stills, Nash & Young and a remarkable solo career) and of Goldberg (participation in hundreds of albums including the famous “Supersession” with Stills and Mike Bloomfield, collaborations with Bob Dylan, attendance to formations like The Electric Flag etc.) and the interpretative impetuousness of Shepherd (owner of some sinewy rock blues discographic works).
The trio signs four six-hand compositions and test themselves in the interpretation of a handful of songs of others. Example are “Rockin' In The Free World” (by Neil Young) or “Honey Bee” (by Muddy Waters).
