The four of them come from Ireland and they have played together since 2008. They are The Strypes and they have enthralled the British musical critics thanks to their vehemence and their overwhelming presence in the scene.
“Snapshot” is their first album (if we exclude the mini-CD “Young, Gifted And Blue”): a rapid fire of sixteen songs (the last two, “CC Rider” and “I Can Tell”, recorded live) where the band's love for the sonority emerges that is typical for bands popular in Britain during the 60s, Yardbirds and The Who above all.
The singer Ross Farrelly, the guitarist Josh McClorey, the drummer Evan Walsh and the bassist Pete O'Hanlon present their compositions alternating them with tracks signed by others (Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Leiber&Stoller, Nick Lowe).
