MAGIC MUSIC

Magic Music (2016)

Mandolin, banjo, various types of percussions, guitars, synths, electric bass, organ, flute, violin, mouth-organ, drums and perfectly blended vocals: these are the ingredients of sextet Magic Music’s excellent album, simply titled “Magic Music”.
Active since the end of the sixties (the band was formed in Colorado in 1969), Magic Music are publishing their first discographic work only now, in 2016, and the album finds their love for “flower” music unchanged and corroborates the reputation the sonic cavalcades of their live shows gained them as the “first jam band”.
Some of the seventeen tracks also feature the participation of Scarlet Rivera (one of Bob Dylan’s collaborators) and Sam Bush on the violin, as well as Bill Payne on the keyboards.
