Surrounded by high-profile guests (guitarist Jeff Beck, singer Chris Farlowe, keyboard player George Fame, just to name a few), on his excellent work “Roll With The Punches” Van Morrison alternates songs written by himself with tracks penned by others. Among the latter, we must mention the medley including “Stormy Monday” (by Aaron Walker) and “Lonely Avenue” (by Doc Pomus), as well as “Bring It On Home To Me” (by Sam Cooke), “Ride On Josephine” (by Ellas McDaniel, better known by his pseudonym Bo Diddley).
