THE WOOD BROTHERS

The Wood Brothers is one of the most interesting groups currently present on the US music scenario and during its recording activities carried out throughout the early 2000s (the debut album entitled “Ways Not To Lose” was recorded for the prestigious Blue Note Records in 2006).
The trio, composed of the Wood brothers (Chris on the bass guitar, vocals and formerly a long-standing member of Medeski, Martin & Wood, Oliver on the guitar, vocals) and of the dynamic multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix (drums, percussion, keyboards, vocals and shuitar, a guitar on which a series of small metal plates have been applied, to create a “guitar/percussive” sound) has recorded its sixth studio album, entitled “One Drop Of Truth”.
In the ten tracks present on the 2018 album, the trio, founded in Boulder (Colorado), presents a sagacious blend of styles both effectively and passionately (mainly folk, blues and jazz) elegantly performed on a solid basis of staves according to the traditional American music style.
