BONNIE BISHOP

The Walk (2019)

The 2016 album entitled “Ain’t Who I Was” (produced by Dave Cobb) had been praised by specialised critics and had been appreciated by the most discerning audience. In 2019, the artiste Bonnie Bishop not only retraces the intriguing paths highlighted in her previous recording experience, but in “The Walk”, she intelligently accompanies the listener on inebriating journeys through the territories of the blues, soul and country.
Of the seven tracks featured on “The Walk”, the only one written by Bishop alone is “I Don’t Like To Be Alone”. The remaining songs were written by the artiste along with Kentucky-born singer-songwriter Rebecca Lynn Howard, or with producer, sound engineer and singer-songwriter Emery Dobyns, or with pianist and singer-songwriter (and long-time friend) Gabe Dixon.
“The Walk” is produced by Steve Jordan (also on drums, percussion, electric guitar and backing vocals), already collaborating with Buddy Guy, John Mayer and Robert Cray.
