ALBERT CUMMINGS

Believe (2020)

Recorded at the famous Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals (Alabama, United States), produced by the expert Jim Gaines and released for the dynamic Provogue record label, the CD “Believe” gives fans of music played with passion and linked to the world of blues and soul over 40 minutes of pure enjoyment.
The protagonist, Albert Cummings, has always sailed the sea of blues music intelligently and, with “Believe”, he reaches one of his highest compositional and interpretative peaks.
As well as the six tracks he composed himself (including the irresistible “Queen Of Mean”), there are tracks by other artists: the initial “Hold On” (by Isaac Hayes and David Porter, a success in 1966 by the duo Sam & Dave), “Red Rooster” and “My Babe” (both by Willie Dixon), “Crazy Love” (by Van Morrison, originally included in the album “Moondance” in 1970 and revisited by a particularly inspired Cummings) and, to conclude, “Me And My Guitar” (by Leon Russell and Chuck Blackwell).
