Born in Ada (a town located in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma, United States), Blake Shelton is a true country music “hit maker”.
“Body Language” is his twelfth studio album. This work yet again confirms his artistic style (which first emerged in his 2001 namesake debut album): pleasant tracks balanced between polite country and highbrow pop, a well-rounded and excellently set up voice, plus captivating arrangements. Some excellent examples of these characteristics can be found in the opener “Minimum Wage”, in “Now I Don’t” and in the final track “Neon Time”.
The eleven songs on “Body Language” rarely exceed a length of 3 minutes, yet each song has the potential to become a largely successful single.
This smooth and pleasant album is an ideal soundtrack for carefree road trips.
