Originally from Leicester but living in New York City for many years, James Maddock releases another excellent album after last year's very pleasant "No Time To Cry" ("Waiting On My Girl" challenged Matt Berninger's "All For Nothing" to win the medal of "best song of 2020").
"Little Bird In The Neighbourhood" confirms the refined creative vein of the English musician offering ten tracks (plus the tasty "hidden track" "Maradona") of an energizing mixture of folk, author music, blues and engaging ballads. Moreover, played by excellent musicians, including Brian Mitchell (Bob Dylan's collaborator) on keyboards and David Immergluck (member of Counting Crows) on mandolin.
