Born in New Orleans, during his life Matt Backer has lived in Mexico, Venezuela, Belgium and elsewhere. Nowadays he lives in London and in 2021 he releases the captivating album "Backernalia".
Except for a couple of tracks ("Middle Class White Boy" by Mose Allison and the concluding "I Wish You Would" by Billy Boy Arnold), the remaining thirteen compositions on "Backernalia" bear Backer's signature.
Excellent ballads and genuine rock are the main ingredients of "Backernalia", reinforced by the darting guitar and the big personality of the owner.
