JAKE SHIMABUKURO

Jake & Friends (2021)

A virtuoso of the ukulele, the Hawaiian artist Jake Shimabukuro (born in Honolulu on November 3, 1976) recorded his most ambitious album in 2021.
"Jake & Friends" presents sixteen compositions, some signed by Shimabukuro and others taken from the repertoire of very famous artists such as The Beatles ("All You Need Is Love", "Something", "A Day In The Life"), Cream ("Wrapping Paper"), Kenny Loggins ("Why Not"), Alvin Lee ("On The Road To Freedom"), The Youngbloods ("Get Together").
In addition, Shimabukuro has invited many musicians to embroider precious interventions around the notes produced by his ukulele: Kenny Loggins, Jesse Colin Young, Ziggy Marley, Jon Anderson, Michael McDonald, Bette Midler, Billy Strings, Warren Haynes, Jack Johnson, Jimmy Buffett and others.
