In 1992, Kenny Roby founded (along with bassist Rob Keller and multi-instrumentalist Ed Campbell) the band The Welfare Liners, later transformed into 6 String Drag.
Kenny Roby began his solo career in 2000 with the record Mercury's Blues, and after a handful of recording jobs, he decided to entitle his 2022 album under his full name and made "Kenny Roby" along with guests John Sebastian, Amy Helm, and Brian Mitchell.
