The Band Of Heathens is one of the most engaging ensembles from that hotbed of talent represented by the Texas city of Austin.
The album "Simple Things" of March 2023 entertains the listener with its ten tracks composed by guitarist, singer and harmonica player Ed Jurdi together with singer and guitarist Gordy Quist, except for the nimble "Long Lost Son", written by Jurdi and Quist together with Jeff Whitehead, a musician who has shared the stage with such artists as Hayes Carll, Rob Baird, Randy Rogers Band, Bruce Robison and many others.
