The side project to the Allman Brothers Band named Gov't Mule, conceived by guitarist Warren Haynes, proceeds vehemently into nerdy rock territories with the 2023 published work "Peace...Like A River". Bassist Jorgen Carlsson, drummer Matt Abts and multi-instrumentalist Danny Louis provide crucial support for Haynes' guitar evolutions and vocal performances.
In "Peace...Like A River" peep the voices of welcome guests: Billy F Gibbons (a member of ZZTop), actor Billy Bob Thornton, Celisse, and the Ivan Neville/Ruthie Foster duo on the tracks "Shake Our Way Out", "The River Only Flows One Way", "Just Across The River", and "Dreaming Out Loud", respectively.
The "deluxe" edition of the album offers a second work containing five more tracks than the "standard" version.
