The son of guitarist Forrest Richard "Dickey" Betts, Duane Betts in 2023 tackled (parallel to his experience with Devon Allman called The Allman Betts Band) a solo career, anticipated in 2018 by the EP "Sketches Of American Music".
The record "Wild & Precious Life" is steeped in the southern rock atmospheres that made The Allman Brothers Band famous. In addition, the record features guest appearances by guitarists Marcus King and Derek Trucks (on the hard-hitting track "Cold Dark World" and the pressing "Stare At The Sun", respectively) and California singer-songwriter (as well as founder of the band The Gramblers) Nicki Bluhm.
