Founder, along with Geoff Barrow, of the band Portishead (which garnered critical and public acclaim in 1994 with the album "Dummy"), Beth Gibbons seduces the listener with the ten compositions on her 2024 record "Lives Outgrown".
Amidst sounds of mellotron, flute, cello, viola, clarinet, guitars (acoustic, baritone, electric, 12-string, resophonic), and harmonium, Gibbons' magical voice finds its due, as well demonstrated by the splendid song placed at the close of the album "Whispering Love".
