Billy Price is the stage name of William Pollack, the outstanding American singer born on 10 November, 1949 in Fair Lawn (New Jersey).
After being noticed, thanks to his activity in guitarist Roy Buchanan’s band, Billy gave lovers of soul music the gift of his own excellent albums, full of passionate vocal interpretations. The disk published in 2019, “Dog Eat Dog”, is no exception: twelve tracks (most of them composed by Price himself) of splendid rhythm&blues and soul, performed with warmth and ardour.
“Dog Eat Dog” is produced by Billy Price and Kid Andersen (guitarist performing in all the tracks on the album) and includes the presence of Mike Zito (on guitar in the excellent song “All Night Long Café”), of Alabama Mike and of Rick Estrin (in the composition responsible for giving the title to the entire collection).
